How do I change the default font?

If you prefer a specific font, you can make it the default font for new documents.

To change Word's default font:

  1. Press Ctrl+Shift+F.
    The Font dialog box appears.

  2. Select a Font.
  3. Select a Size.
  4. Click Set as Default.
  5. Select All documents based on the Normal.dotx template.
  6. Click OK.
